Judy holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge. Her teaching career was short lived, however she has lasting memories of the years spent in Alberta’s public and private schools. Judy has also been a guest speaker in Christian schools, churches and small group settings. She has previously been involved in church musical/drama performances.

What may appear like daunting challenges to others, provides a platform for Judy to encourage and strengthen others as God’s light shines through her diverse trials. With a sense of humor, laughter is definitely medicine to Judy’s soul!

In 2005 Judy became totally blind. Now, over the recent, seven years, her hearing has also regressed. Her last audiogram read that she has a profound hearing loss, but with the aid of bilateral hearing aids, and a laptop installed with a screen reader, Judy continues to use her teaching gift to lead small group Bible studies. Other highlights of her year include adventures when travelling alone to the states to visit her son and family, via train or plane.  

Judy praises the Lord for His Spirit that fills her heart and home, enabling her to run the race with endurance and focus.
